Before and After- Belle Images Toowoomba Photographer

I have been asked quite a few times recently what I do when I edit photos- what is involved? So I thought I would write a quick post with a few examples to demonstrate what happens when I edit photos. I am aiming for a very natural look with my photography- so I shy away from making you look plastic, (or using the “liquify” tool in Photoshop).  I want your images to look as if they haven’t been edited! My edits focus on improving the exposure, removing any blemishes, rashes, dribble or crumbs around children’s mouths, and removing any distracting elements from the background. I do my best to watch out for these when taking photos, but there are some that just can’t be avoided!

Here are a few examples…the “before” images are straight out of the camera (sooc).

I took this image in the late afternoon, and I really wanted to show how beautiful the light was, so I have enhanced it a little here:

This is a photo of my niece. When I took it she was being pulled along in a little wagon, and I didn’t have a chance to “frame” it properly, so it has been cropped, and lightened.

And lastly, a photo of my friend’s newborn baby. Newborns can often be quite pink/red, have little rashes and “milk spots”, so a little work has been done on her face to smooth and even her complexion.

All this editing is included in the session fee ($100) so that when you see your images in the online gallery, you know what your finished product will look like. I really do enjoy the editing side, and it is quite rewarding to see the side-by-side images, and know that I have created in front of me the image that I saw at the time.

I would love for you to look through the galleries, here and if you would like know more, or book a session, please contact me on 0438 876 359, or email me Angela@belleimages.com.au
