The Artsorted Worx is the latest local Toowoomba business to feature in Mums on Mondays- where we find businesses that cater to local children and families and showcase them. Jodi Robinson is the Creative Director behind The Artsorted Worx. She is a teacher, and Mum to 4, and still finds time to run a business as well! Jodi is absolutely passionate about art, and the place it can have in children’s lives. She firmly believes in the link between children playing and art, and brings these two worlds together in her business. She sees toys as the starting point for children’s creative sides- toys that encourage children to use their imagination- and this crosses over and becomes part of the creative process in their artistic creations. The Artsorted Worx employs both teachers and artists who “are passionate about the relationship between education and creativity.”
The Artsorted Worx runs classes for a number of groups in the community, including homeschooling, adults, and the Endeavour Foundation, in addition to regular weekly and school holiday classes. These classes are often the highlight of the week for the children who attend, and it provides a wonderful outlet for them. You can check out their classes here. They also cater for birthday parties- let them know your party theme and they will customise a party for you1
The Artsorted Worx has a fantastic assortment of art resources, including paint, brushes, easels, and the list goes on, to cater for the little artist in your life.
They also have a great range of Indigenous resources including puppets, puzzles, and books. This is just a small selection….
I loved wandering around the store and finding all kinds of artworks that have been created in past workshops…such a variety!
Oooooh, the dollhouses! They have the beautiful Le Toy Van, Smaland, and Stockholm, plus all the wonderful accessories to go with them!
Not to mention these fantastic wooden castles and farm sets- suitable for both boys and girls imaginative play!
So many dress-ups- sure to keep any child on their toes!
I am in love with these puppets- such character. They are great quality too!
The Artsorted Worx has a variety of kits to encourage the creativity of your children- and would also make great birthday or Christmas presents!
These Schleich figurines are fabulous- not only do they have the regular animals, there are also fairies, dragons, and fantasic characters.
Something I love about The Artsorted Worx is that they have a play area to keep your little ones occupied while you choose the perfect gift. I can personally vouch for my youngest not wanting to leave!
As a former early childhood teacher, one of my favourite books is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. I just didn’t have the room to here to show you how many fabulous items they have relating to the story…but I thought this one was beautiful. (You’ll just have to go in-store to see the rest 🙂
