Kristy and Luke have their brother and sister-in-law to thank for their happy union! Shaylee, (one of the bridesmaids),and her husband David introduced Kristy to David’s brother Luke just under two years ago. (Just for the record, now Shaylee has one perfect match out of one, she figures she’ll quit while she’s ahead!) It didn’t take Luke and Kristy long to realise they were meant for one another.
Kristy prepared for her wedding at the beautiful Wanulla B& B, which has been newly opened to the public, (it’s just gorgeous inside!) Their wedding took place at the historic St Patrick’s Cathedral in Toowoomba. After a overcast start to the morning, the sun shone out for a few hours in the middle of the day, but by the time the ceremony was over, it was beginning to storm. In fact, it was a supercell! Photos outside the church were very hasty, as we could all see the lighting and the wind was quite overpowering. The wedding party rushed back to the B&B for some more photos. We braved the light rain for a few outdoor shots, but the inside of the B&B was so beautiful, it made for a great backdrop.
After that, we all headed to Veraison for the reception, which was a cosy affair. The tables were delightfully decorated with sepia photos of the happy couple and their families, which provided a great talking point over dinner.
Many thanks must go to Mary Wheatley who was a second-shooter on this wedding, and was absolutely invaluable! Thanks Mary!!
