Once in a while, there is a session which stretches me creatively, and of which I am immensely proud. This is one of those sessions.
I have known this family since 2008 when our eldest were in kindy together. They have creativity running through their blood. They weren’t shy or reserved at the session, and were happy to do all I asked, and more! They know this location especially well, as they have lived up the road from the Japanese Gardens for about the last 4 years. They know the back paths, the hidden forests and valleys. All of which set us up for an awesome session!
Do you spot the panda on the left who is munching on a leaf of bamboo?
We were walking between locations and she suddenly does this right in the beautiful hazy light! I couldn’t get my camera out quick enough!
I envisioned a shot with all of them standing on the rocks, but once the youngest struck a pose, all of them followed! It was magic!
Do you see the kids’ expressions when their parents are kissing? I love seeing what happens when I set this up!
I know this family will treasure these photos for many years to come, as they are about to move away from Toowoomba. I wish them all the best, and thank them for this magic afternoon at the Japanese Gardens.
