Now that Christmas is over, are you looking for school holidays activities in Toowoomba January 2026? Here’s a list (that I will add to as more activities are announced). There are a range of activities for all ages, some are free and some are paid.
Toowoomba Regional Libraries
The libraries throughout the Toowoomba Region have a great range of craft workshops on for kids of all ages. (The city library has a medieval theme for their activities). You can find out more and book here.
Tinker Art School
Tinker have a variety of painting workshops, for different ages, such a paint a pencil case, (great for back-to-school, or dragons and pirates. Find out more and book here.
Cobb and Co
Cobb and Co have activities about birds and insects based on the “Wings” theme. There’s even a live show where they bring bring Australia’s birds, insects, and other winged wonders up close. They also have craft and other workshops available. All the details here.
Windy Acres Lavender Farm
Windy Acres Lavender Farm at Westbrook is open Wednesdays and Sundays 9-1pm, or keep an eye on their social media pages for events. A great day out to explore the lavender farm. Find out more here.
Pioneer Village
Highfields Pioneer Village is open every day from 10-4pm, but one of their biggest days of the year is Australia Day, with markets and minature train rides. All the details here.
Downs Steam
Downs Steam have several runs during the January School Holidays in Toowoomba, including Super Saturday on the 17th Jan, and the Railmotor Shuttle on the 22nd January. To book click here.
Climb Toowoomba
Climb Toowoomba is an indoor rock climbing centre, open every day (except public holidays). Great activity for teens and tweens. No need to book! Find out all the details here.
Mini Golf
Mini Golf at the Toowoomba City Golf Club is a great way to keep all ages busy and active! They’re open from 9am every day. You can book or just turn up. Find out more here.
