“Where is the best location for our family photos?” is one of the most frequent questions I get asked when families book in for a photo session. Not every location is perfect for every family. Here’s some tips to find the best location for your family photo session in Toowoomba:
1.Match Your Style
Are you more of a relaxed family who would like to chill in a park, or a bright colourful family with energy who would like to roam the city in an urban session?
2.Where do you feel comfortable?
Some families feel more comfortable in their own home and backyard, while others are fine in a public setting such as a park. Maybe there’s a location that’s sentimental to your family as well.
3.Practicality
Think about the practical aspects of your location- do you need somewhere with flat ground, or with nearby toilets, or that is not too far from home?
4.Consider the light
Where will the sun be when you’re at your session? Are there shady spots?
5.Variety of backgrounds
Is there a variety of spaces at your chosen location with different textures, structures, and backgrounds?
6.Big trees and shade
If your photos are outside, some big trees and shade is always preferable to make sure there is nice even light on everyone’s faces, and that no-one is squinting.
